What will therapy cost?
Your cost depends on your in-network insurance benefits. If your plan has a deductible that applies to outpatient mental health services, you may be responsible for the full in-network rate determined by your insurance company until your deductible is met. After that, you may have a copay or coinsurance depending on your plan.

We recommend checking your in-network benefits for outpatient behavioral health with your insurance company if you have questions about your specific coverage.

How do I know if counseling is right for me?
You don’t need to be certain before getting started. Therapy may be helpful if you’re feeling anxious, stressed, stuck, or simply know that something isn’t working the way you want it to.

The first step is to check whether our services are a good fit for what you’re looking for.

What should I expect at the first session?
Your first session is a chance to talk with your therapist about what brings you to counseling, what you would like to work on, and what you hope will change. Your therapist may also ask follow-up questions based on your intake paperwork. Together, you’ll begin identifying a direction for therapy.
How often will we meet and how long does therapy last?
Therapy is individualized based on your needs and goals. Many people begin with weekly or every-other-week sessions, and the frequency may change over time.

The length of therapy also varies. Some people reach their goals within several months, while others choose to continue longer. You and your therapist can adjust the approach as your needs change.

Do you offer tele-therapy?
Yes. Online therapy is available for clients located in New York State at the time of receiving services.
